The
walkway outside the entrance to the Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood
in Edinburgh. The designer used los of natural materials. The hill you
see in the background is Arthur's Seat, the remains of an extinct volcano.
The granite in the building is an igneous
rock formed by magma (molten rock beneath the earth's
crust) which cooled deep underground before being forced up to the surface.
