This
brightly coloured cinnabar moth caterpillar doesn't have to hide away.
Its colours are there to warn off predators - it is very
unpleasant to eat. So it just concentrates on eating its faourite food
- ragwort. The moth is just as bad to eat. So here's a herbivore that
is unlikely to make a meal for any carnivore.
