Check out the links to help you with your studies of KS2 Science, KS3 Science and the separate sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geology. You should find plenty here to help you with school projects, homework and your own interest. While every care is taken to check the links shown on this page, I can accept no responsibility for any problem encountered in visiting them. They have all been seen by me but, apart from the pages that the links point, to I cannot verify the suitability of other pages or any links from the pages. I don't think you've much to worry about but if uncertain stick to the BBC :-). Always remember to keep your personal information confidential and tell an adult if you encounter anything that concerns you. NASA Kids Homepage Loads of stuff about NASA and Space with games to play as well. BBC Space Pages There's enough on these pages for projects on the planets as well as the other things in our solar system. The jigsaw puzzle is fun and helps you learn about the planets, moons and all the things we've sent up into space to investigate our solar system. Hubble Space Telescope Gallery Lots of photos taken by the telescope of planets, stars and much more. BBC KS2 Earth, Sun and Moon Interactive tests. Astronomy Picture of the Day A new picture each day with an explanation plus access to the archives of photographs. Don't forget to click on the picture to see it in all its glory. Planet Arkive Lots of interest for 7-11 year olds who want to find out more about animals and plants and how they live together. Older people may want to start of a the Arkive website. Stag beetles for everyone Everything you might want to know about these fascinating animals. Knutsford Ornithological Society This has a great soundfile section to hear the birds you are studying. RSPB The site for birds. Check out the guides section for lots of good facts for projects on birds and garden wildlife as well as how to get more wildlife into your garden. BBC - KS2 Interdependence and adaptation Interactive look at plants and animals, how they rely on each other and how they are adapted to live where they do. BBC - KS2 Life Cycles Interactive tests on plant and animal reproduction. BBC - KS2 Habitats Interactive tests on habitats and the relationships between the plants and the animals in them. Stag Beetle Helpline If you are lucky enough to live in an area where this strange insect is found, go to the site and help provide information that will help in the research into the lifecycle of stag beetles. What's this caterpillar? Lots of photographs to help you identify them. You can even email photos or help with identification. Remember to check with an adult to see if it is safe and sensible to carry out a practical experiment. Creative Chemistry A great site to grow into. If you're mad on chemistry now then have a look. It will be more useful as you start Key stage 3 work in senior school and should help with GCSE and A level revision. Bookmark it for future use and tell your older friends and relatives about it.
